Rafi Baladi: Drama, theatre and Stage Clips (Français)


Rafi Baladi studied modern drama and theatre with Doctor David Woodman, professor at the American University in Cairo and scholar of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Baladi also learnt about Stanislavsky's stage techniques, Chekov, Ibsen, Miller, Pirandello and others. Dr. Woodman is standing second left in the fifth picture. He acted in the following productions for Dr. Woodman: Uncle Vanya and the Cherry Orchard by Chekov; Six characters in search of an author by Pirandello, Death of a salesman by Miller; Peer Gynt by Ibsen, The Tempest, Julius Caeser and Hamlet by Shakespeare.

He performed as Master of Ceremony in five major productions to various audiences. Please see photo-1 and photo-2. He, also, played the piano for Bach, Bethoven, Chopin and Rachmanninof in concert to audiences of fifty to one thousand persons. He won best composition-award in 1978.
